Want to create content but don’t know where to start or what tools you need? I got you. Forget the idea that you need a $700 camera and $200 set up. All you need is a phone, tripod and quality lighting to start creating the content of your dreams.

Quality tripods are a MUST. Not only will they save you time from trying to figure out where to prop your phone up for the best angle, they also help you film steady shots and make the filming process easy overall. Here are the top 5 tools for content creation that I recommend for you to get started on your content creation journey:
***All the tripods linked below can be used vertically and horizontally.
1. Main Tripod

This 60″ tripod will be your primary tripod you shoot most of your content on. It comes with a bluetooth remove that allows you to use your phone without having to physically click record. The main thing I love about this tripod is that it’s sturdy, flexible and versatile. These qualities are extremely important because it allows you to film with ease and prevent you from switching from tripod to tripod to get the shot you want.
I’ve taken my own pictures using Lens Buddy and filmed plenty of day in the life content with this tripod. This is my baby and if you purchase it, it’ll be yours too! Another popular tripod is the Atumtek Tripod. The main difference is that the Atumtek is likely to fit in a purse or be more lowkey when carrying it.
2. Flexible Tripod

This miniature tripod can be used with a phone, camera and go pro. It’s perfect for on the go and close up shots. The way I use this tripod the most is on tables, counters, shelves and on the floor. Sometimes you don’t need the entire 60″ tripod to get the shot you want. Due to the lengths of the legs on the 60″ tripod, sometimes your shot won’t be able to be as up close as you want it.
The really cool thing about this tripod is that the legs are very flexible. They can wrap around objects like shown in the picture and I really like because it helps me become creative and curious about how to get the shot I want! It also comes with a Bluetooth remote.
3. Car Mount aka Suction Tripod

This car mount turned tripod is great for attaching to glass and tile! Here’s what you can record with this:
- Shower Content
- Mirror Content ( Makeup videos, outfit of the day, GRWM, talking videos, etc). This is perfect because sometimes it’s hard to film certain videos if you don’t have a designated desk area so using your mirror is perfect!
- Car Content – Stick those on your windshield and start recording content vlogs or simple talking videos on the car.
4. Portable Light

Usually when you start creating content, getting a light source will be your most expensive investment. However, there are plenty of ring lights that are inexpensive like the UbeeSize Ring Light & the Neewer Ring Light. If you plan on making home content, ring lights are good to start out with. The major downsides to ring lights it that they take up a lot of room, are heavy and need an electrical source in order to operate.
Getting this portable light was a game changer for me!When I started creating more lifestyle content, I knew I couldn’t lug around a ring light in every space because it limited the spaces I could film. Typically, you want to utilize as much natural light as possible when filming so the 1st tripod above is what I find what works best.
I take it along with me for instagram pictures, vlogs, etc. to ensure I have the right lighting on the go. I have a stand where I attach the light to when I’m filming at home to ensure the versatility of it. In the portable light kit, you receive the light & two batteries so you don’t worry about the light dying while on the go.
5. Tablet/Phone Stand

This tablet/phone stand is perfect for on the go filming. While it is primarily used for tablets, it can also be perfect for your phone and filming.
