When I first moved to Houston, I knew about 3 people. Leaving everything that was comfortable and familiar for an uncharted path took so much courage. Navigating long distance friendships and deciding to end/shift some friendships also took courage. 3 years later, I have found a chunk of community & I’m basking in it <3

I didn’t really see myself creating beauty content because there was a time in my life where I didn’t believe I was beautiful. I also think people tend to be really harsh when you’re on the journey of learning something new such as doing your makeup. One thing God gon do… is surprise you. Literally all of my PR lately has been makeup [LOL] so ima take that as a sign to keep going!
How do we feel about this foundation? My makeup ended up lasting all night without becoming oily so I’ll definitely be using this duo again! 🤭

Since there’s no WNBA team in Houston, I looked up the @washmystics schedule out of curiosity and was geeked that there was a home game while I’m here in DC! I’ve never been to a pro sports game so I was shocked at how affordable the tickets were. The icing on the cake was free parking!! Everything was just so aligned 🤌🏽

Dear diary, my self care days were feeling a little stale so I’m trying something new - coloring!
I’m very big on mindfulness and whew baby, I was a little uncomfortable completely dedicating myself to this one task. Eventually I felt calm, relaxed and a sense of accomplishment.

I used to struggle sooo bad with moving my body until I found Pilates. Now don’t get me wrong - it’s not easy but it does feel good and quiets my mind! Movement doesn’t necessarily have to equal the gym. You gotta find what works for you & your body!! Take it from me that it’s possible to move & have fun <3
