Over planning is a manifestation of perfectionism

Over planning is a manifestation of perfectionism & procrastination.
I came across these pictures yesterday and I immediately felt nostalgia. I admire the 2021 version of myself because she was sooo confident. I’m just now getting my confidence back and I couldn’t be happier 🥺
The gag is, my confidence has little to do with my appearance and everything to do with the actions I take. I want something? I take the necessary steps to go get it AND hold myself accountable with the actions I don’t take.
I no longer punish myself for falling short. Once I accepted the responsibility of my dream, accountability came a lot easier.
At some point you have to put the planner, the to do list & the script down and trust yourself to take the best action you can in real life. This new chapter I’m about to walk in, is just that.
There’s a lot of movement going on & I’m so excited to share with y’all in due time 🫶🏽 it’s lock in sznnnn.

Since the summer is basically over according to y’all (*rolls eyes*) lemme share a summer highlight! ✨ Spending a few days solo at the @citizenm in downtown LA was amazingggg + a great central location. I was able to walk to the places I wanted to go like coffee shops, restaurants, museums, etc.
I stayed at the Times Square location in 2021 & it’s the perf hotel room for one person or for a duo. I didn’t realize how many features it had that I missed out on during my last stay. My favorite thing about staying here was the view, ipad controls + the many places to work.

1. Went to @camhouston for the first time. It was different than most museums I’ve been to.

3. Sunlight was tewwww good not to take a picture!
4. First time going to the pool all summer! It was hot as hell 😭
5. Remembered how much I love Pac-Man after going to @cidercade_houston which is an adult arcade with drankssss
6. Me after going to a bomb Korean spot (@sojupocha.htx) 😩 their food was BANGING & the owner/chef was sooo sweet

8. Went to @texasdebrazil & left 6 months pregnant 😩

Updated morning body + skincare routine 🛁🧴
Being consistent with your skincare/bodycare can be hard af but I’m picking my hard. Be dissatisfied with lack of results or weather the discomfort of showing up? $200 for the latter Alex!
The main thing that changed is finally getting my hands on the @epanouieskin bar soap + pretty kitty kit. I’m still using a salux cloth & I refuse to use anything else!
The pretty kitty kit comes with soap, a masque, oil + a washcloth. Ingrowns, dryness and hyperpigmentation doesn’t stand a chance with this routine. 10/10 recommend ✨

AD | New week, new vibes & new produce! It’s no other feeling like starting your week off prepared. 🤸🏾‍♀️
Lately I’ve been into any and everything that makes my life easier. To prep for the week ahead, I went to @krogerco for some fresh local produce. I’m usually on the go and sometimes I forget to eat (even while WFH) so I decided to meal prep again. Kroger works with local farmers to ensure that we’re getting produce as fresh as it gets! Fresh fruit while supporting local farmers? It’s a win/win for me.

One thing I notice every year around my birthday i

One thing I notice every year around my birthday is how my community has changed and evolved. Although this post is about enjoying my own company (AND DIDDDD) here’s a brain dump of what’s been on my mind 🧠
Moving away from home twice to new states is HARD. Having to build your community from the ground up takes time and it has definitely left me feeling lonely a lot of times. You see everyone’s life continuing to go on and at times, almost feel isolated and forgotten because you’re no longer a part of that community. People will even visit here & I don’t hear from em & in that moment I realize, OH shit - we’ve shifted to acquaintances so why should I expect that?
It also sucks bc it’s not like I haven’t tried to expand it, you know? I go work alone, workout alone, work towards my goals alone + eat alone majority of the time. Sometimes I question if I’m even gonna meet my community in Houston or maybe it’s the next city I go to.
My closest friends live so far and I feel grief because I’m not physically there to see them evolve in their unique ways and spend time with them 🥹
So do I love my own company? Absolutely. And I’m also looking forward to the day where I’m physically surrounded around people that truly know me and make an effort to stay in my life.
Anyway, that’s just how I’ve been feeling. Growing pains, maybe? I pray my tribe finds me in perfect timing. Not forcing anything at all + will continue to keep my heart open. 🤍

I was actually supposed to have a day party but I woke up and did not feel like it 😂 so I switched plans.
I don’t know nothing about golf but I think that’s the beauty of it. We were just having a good ole time! S/o to my sister @leekdasneak_ & my good sis @sincerelysiana for coming along!

I am so deeply grateful for God’s continuous gui

I am so deeply grateful for God’s continuous guidance to allow my most authentic self to shine. 26 felt like my first *actual* year in adulthood and baby, I was fighting for my life the whole first half. The second half showed me that no matter where you start, there’s always a possibility for change.
27 is about risking it all. Everything I want, I’m allowing myself to try. I’ve always been a dreamer and this year I’m turning those dreams into something tangible.
I’m no longer hiding in the shadows. My wildest dreams can’t come true there.
Although my heart still aches for what what was, the hope I have cannot be moved, shaken nor taken from me. There is so much goodness ahead of me and I’m prepared to bask in it.
Thank you so much for receiving my art & riding with me on this unpredictable journey to authenticity. Cheers to 27 🥂🤍

The new Swiffer Power Mop surprisingly checked all my boxes!! I literally hate the feeling of dirt on my feet so a good mop is a household essential over here! 🧼🫧
Now don’t get me wrong, I love my O’Cedar too but I’d be lying if I said this one wasn’t more convenient. My floors look GOOOOD y’all. Like you know when you catch the view of ya floors from the side and see no dirt? Yepppp.
Ima need @swiffer to come out with a value pack of the mopping pads bc that will probably be the only annoying thing! The fact that I can store it in my small laundry room truly made me a fan.
It’s definitely different strokes for different folks but I think this is a pretty versatile mop and it’s QUICK! I’m not saying you need it but I’m not saying you don’t need it…

It ain’t perfect but everything is beautiful! Learning to enjoy the process of becoming and taking accountability for the ways I do and don’t show up. I’m growing + blossoming🦋
Also, I love WFH but something do hit different about going into the office ngl. It forces me to get dressed dressed! I had 3 Telehealth clients & one in person client this day.
